This site has gotten rid of so many Quality of Life features that it's becoming a chore to use. For every 1 feature they add, it feels like another 3 features that make site navigation and use easier are removed. E621 is a better Rule 34, despite being kneecapped by it's specific genre of content.

Can't search through your own favorites anymore, because it's a basic, garbage Musk-Twitter-Style Media Tab, the blacklist has a fucking limit, and can't blacklist certain combinations to refine itself or allow exceptions. What IS blacklisted takes up real-estate on the screen with a big, ugly BLACKLISTED block, and the excuse that I've been told is that it was for "a security upgrade", and that adding those features back would cost time and money. Time that someone no doubt has, and money that R34 CAN'T NOT HAVE considering they sell fucking $1000 white whale sex dolls that people actually buy!

It feels like the admins are just too lazy to actually fix these problems.

EDIT: I know this sounds incredibly bitchy and ungrateful, but I can't help but feel like, as a user, I'm being short changed her.

Can I run a website, no. I can barely do multiplication without a calculator, let alone run and manage an entire website. But it feels like we aren't being told about the whole process of running this place.

Bro, it's the opposite of that. The front page is not a "For You" page, it's an oldschool feed of the latest posts, and you're supposed to search for tags that you like.

I think it'd be great if we could follow tags/uploaders and have a personal feed page, like we have on Twitter and Livejournal and other social and blogging sites, but we don't because it's too old fashioned for that.

It's a LOT more like AO3 than like Twitter.

I'm not talking about the front page. I'm talking about your favorites page. You used to be able to use tags to filter through your favorites. But now you can't. Instead all you get is a gallery that only allows you to scroll through and remove posts.

Maybe it was hyperbole calling it like twitter, but it's still vastly inferior to what we used to have.

The favourites page is pretty much identical to AO3's Marked for Later feature. An unsearchable, unsortable, chronological, barebones list of things you pressed the button on.

I really would like more functionality, too, but bonkers comparisons and histrionic flailing won't get you sympathy or helpful tips.

In my defense, I don't mind not having sympathy. Some people don't care about these things and that's totally fine. This was just me venting my frustrations to the void.

As for "Helpful Tips" I don't really see any advice outside of "use another website" that would give me a solution to my problems. As far as I know, there's little I can do as just a user to fix my gripes.

It's stored in a cookie. Cookies have a 4096 byte limitation. There's also a limitation on how many tags can be parsed in a search, and this includes the blacklist. I think it's ~300 tags and/or ~3200 characters before the system goes "NOPE!" and returns nothing.

Searching for something removes all of those.

The long-broken aliasing feature comes to mind there. Over 10 years...

For a real gripe, blacklisted things still show up when I'm looking in ither people's comments. It's be nice to have the big BLACKLISTED blocks there instead of getting a face full of AI roblox pussy (but leave the tags and comment visible so I know not to waste my time DMing the AI roblox pussy enjoyer).
