Light Magic or Dark Magic?
Not tied to any specific game or universe but rather your general preference if presented with a choice.
This is not necessarily even a "Good vs Evil" as I believe that any good magic system leave power and morality at least somewhat separate.

Are you the type that prefers vanquishing the evil spirits and undead, bringing the powers of brightness to your enemies..

Or...

Are you the type that likes conjuring up said spirits and using necromancy and darkness to exhale death and miasma to any foe?

Very dependent on the environment. That said, I end up prefer enjoying the cleric sort of role over warlocks. But the biggest factor is what the universe and world is like.

dark magic. i dont like the idea of just killing off creatures of the undead, id much rather befriend them and help them finish their business. i think id make a decent mage.

Dark. Light magic tends to be more for healing, and while that's good, I'd rather utterly crush and destroy my foes

Dark magic. Just let me drain the life outta anyone I use my magic on and let me see the life slowly leaving their bodies <3

Light magic can be cool too though

I've heard it said...
that light magic contributes to overall benefit, coherence and harmony while dark magic contributes to personal gain, self interest, corruption and incoherence. They say it's largely about intention.

Saying that, trying to stay in the light - but stumbling into darkness from time to time

Dark magic usually looks way cooler.

One does not need raw destructive power to eliminate an enemy, just as you don't need a grenade when a bullet would work just fine. Light for me.

Mixed, i feed on my enemies to survive and continue healing the innocent, simple as.
I have thought on many occasions of temporarily controlling my enemies, forcing them to kill their allies or commander, and then terminate themselves, think the upgraded version of the possession vigor from Bioshock Infinite.

Dark magic usually means necromancy, and being surrounded by dead bodies all the time honestly seems like a bad time, so I'm going to go with light magic

As a kid i would have chosen dark magic 10 times out of 10, but now i feel i greatly prefer light magic. There is just something so cool about vanquishing people with pure divinity, and i always thought necromancy was kind of boring ngl.

Necromance if you want to.
You can bring your friends to life!
But your friends aren't dead,
and if they aren't dead,
well they're no friends of mine!

A necromancer is nothing more than a healer who sucks at keeping members of the party alive.

Good news, you’ll regain all health AFTER you die.
