Personally I prefer quick responses with a minimum of 30 words per reply.
Of course I prefer responses with at least some effort put into them over none, but I also don't want to pressure people into writing a novel for 3 hours.
I only have so much time to rp and it sucks when you can only get a single reply in, in the time I have.

But regardless, I would go with Long, but slow responses. I'm busy with work or relaxing, so since I'm not here, there's plenty of time to write a reply whenever I'm not around. And if I come back to see I haven't gotten a response, I usually feel glad to know I have less work to do, anyways lol

Personally? I prefer medium-long responses. Not a whole page of words, but enough to give me the details and keep things interesting.

A mix between the two, but the number 1 thing that makes an RP good to me is passion. That, and my partner being well-written, makes me very invested.

I don’t mind shorter ones, my brain fizzles out if I have to write a long response.

the rare occasion i do rp i usually just adapt to whatever my partner does. i’m very much a take what you give kinda guy. if i had a preference though id say medium length, paragraph stuff is my preferred length. 5-6 sentences at most

Medium-long with time in between. I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m actually not horny 24/7!!! And not always in the mood to rp constantly. Nothing wrong with a day off from responses

I like to write a lot but my partner usually not so much. Pretty annoying because my favourite part of roleplay is the detail of what's happening, making it as erotic as possible. Stuff like *I suck your dick* just doesn't do it for me. Not like I write a whole essay or anything, 1 maybe 2 paragraphs max, and that's usually for a partner that writes 3 lines max. (I mean I'd totally be down to write a whole story but it's not worth my time if my partner doesn't contribute half of what I write.)

Anyway actually answering the question of the OP, I prefer long and slow responses. (I like responses in general TBH)

Depends on the kind of RP and the mood I'm in. I prefer to match my partner's energy, so I can do long and slow or short and lewd based on who I'm RPing with.

Some combination is good. Medium length responses with good detail arriving in relatively quick order. It's hard when someone has to bail and sometimes the whole thing falls apart. Wish that didn't happen so often.

Considering i tend to get descriptive very easily, i would like if they can match that energy as well, tho i can adapt to whatever pace when need be.

My problem is that with regular (SFW) RP I tend to focus more on the saying than the doing, but at a certain point with this that breaks down and I end up having less and less to say. The other thing is that the SFW RP I do very much does not let you 'do' things to other characters (and cannot make other characters do things), wheras with this that's the entire point (as in, it is helpful to be able to descrbe reactions so that it's more than just doing XYZ and passing the message off). So I guess I need to get comfortable with doing things to/with other characters and having them do things if I want to write more for this kind of RP.

What I prefer is long, drawn-out slow burns. That's how I write outside of RPs, so it feels natural to me. But I have no problem matching the style of my RP partner. I get lost in the head of the character I'm playing and I just start writing what I think he's thinking or feeling. It's really, really nice to see that reciprocated.

I just like a response. Whatever feels natural. No pressure here
