Question for the roleplayers of rule 34
Do you rp in the 3rd pov as in *He grabs your shoulder*

Or do your rp as yourself like- *I kiss your neck*

Some of the people I've roleplayed with seems to be different & idk what I should stick with.

I’d say just stick with whatever is convenient and comfortable! I use both interchangeably! It just helps and makes it easier to express things in a more open or personal manner!

However the other person likes to RP I'm flexible when it comes to style lol

That's what I sometimes don't seem to understand. Some people like to roleplay as if they're the person doing the actions which makes it seem more personal. For me, I like to use third person because idk y but just seeing the word/letter "I" a lot throws me off. It's as if that letter is always the start of the next sentence.

As a pretty experience roleplayer, I tend to roleplay in third person. Personally, it's much easier to fill my writing with much more detail if it's written in third person.

I just tend to go along with what the other person goes with. It's usually 1st person from my experience.

Do you ask if they want to do it third person or pov first or do you just go straight into it? I feel like if I went with 3rd person or 1st person first, it'll throw some people off of roleplaying any further but I also don't like to constantly ask if such & such is ok. I don't want to seem like I'm filing or applying for an application before a roleplay starts

Yeah that makes sense. That’s why I try to make sure I change it up cause it can get a bit confusing and or just boring having it always be first.

Makes sense. I guess a lot of people just like to make it seem more personal. It's hard sometimes to know what people want.

I always stick with first pov no matter what. But I do accept whatever pov while still sticking in first.

I always thought doing that would be a conflict of interest but I guess how you put it, some people might be okay with that.

I RP like I'm writing a book. Always in third person.

They usually are since they get to have their preferred pov while I get to have mine.

Whatever my partner goes for
It’s just that simple, though the obvious exception are whenever I would be playing as multiple characters. Third person should always be used for those.

Though honestly, I do prefer third. Something about first feels a bit like self inserting, don’t know why though.

Third person.

first always comes off as really...idk, low quality? Something about it just completely kills the mood for me.

Don't like mixing PoV's either, with one doing third and one doing first.
