Just found out about the tag map, how does it work, and wow Africa is so colorful in a sea of Futa!! is futanari that popular :O
Despite being a military powerhouse, most tag maps I can find show America is either really basic or they really want to be dominated.
I wonder how much of those numbers is from a small group of people constantly searching for the same thing hundreds of times a day every day to swing the numbers in their favour, or from bot scripts made to do this automatically. Personally, I wouldn't trust any counting system that allows one person to be counted twice.
VPNs that set your IP location to other countries would affect the results as well. How many of the african searches are really being done by some american guy with a VPN?

Probably the majority of them, unless R34 is secretly really popular among the dozens of Africans who can afford internet access.

As a very specific topic with a somewhat wide interest, I suspect that this is the result of people having to always specify "futanari" to obtain results containing them. After all, how many futanari character canonically exist in media? How many futanari exist in real life? A character being a futanari is a factor that differentiates their query from most examples, so users append the tag to their queries.
Looking at the most used tags:
female
breasts
penis
male
nipples
1girls
solo
nude
blush
anthro
pussy
...
These are omnipresent, and likely implicit in a query for more specific tags with a wider spread (characters, kinks, etc.). How many of these do users really feel a need to specify? Solo, maybe? Anthro, if exclusion and blacklisting count as "popularity"?
