Video game roles
What are your favorite video game roles? I like support/healer.
Supporter/Healer in most scenarios.
Mostly mages in League and in Valorant either initiator, sentinel or controller ^^

I hate how this makes sense
Stealthy, lots of dexterity, and just overall sneaky.
I generally lean towards Thieves/Rogues or a Red Mage type role. Having extra utility is something I always value.
Farmer
Depends on the type of game.
In turn-based games, I like fast characters that can deal a lot of damage, that don’t have to worry about their pitiful HP because the other side will die first.
In action games, I go for tanky if I’m solo, or sniper if I’ve got a group to back me up. I know my limits, and my limits are poor reflexes.

Snipers are annoying!
I pretty much only play single player games, so for them I usually choose the generalist/"balanced" classes/characters because I suck at min-maxing/making the right choices for upgrading things. Generalists don't usually worry about such problems.
When I used to play more multiplayer games, I tended to prefer a more supportive role, much like I enjoy in real life. Support is for when you want to be a badass and a smart ass at the same time.
Seeing as i tend to solve my problems with violence tank is best for me.
I stuck with being a cat after (or was it before?) becoming and maxing out the mage job for my avatar, my first choice was warrior.
I need to go back to miitopia on switch.

DPS, MMO-wise. I don't mind tanking or healing if necessary though.
Thematically, I enjoy armored sword users a la samurai or sword saints or the like, and dual-wielding sorts like rogues or ninjas. In particular, I have a fondness for roles that blend a bit of magic into their melee. AKA Gishes, if you come from a tabletop background.

It varies from game to game. I like a lot of healers, but I also love tanks
If we're talking RPGs I like mage classes, shooters (literally boarderlands and splatoon) I like snipers and more up close weaponry
