So what do we call males who aren't femboys but don't possess many masculine qualities?
I don't mean deliberately girly femboys, crossdressing traps, etc. I mean characters who seem more like "good boys" than "femme boys". Characters like these;

What do we call them?

Yep, "twink" covers it. Technically "yaoi" describes them too, but "yaoi" often gets misapplied to any and all gay characters, not just the twink-ish ones.

Tomgirls are usually men that, while looking delicate, don't really identify with the "fem" label

they usually engage in more commonly "girly" stuff, like shopping for clothes, loving fashion, gossiping with friends, caring about their looks, and all those kind of things

Although yeah, even if the term it's pretty useful and I've seen people use it sometimes, it usually falls behind for other words like "Twink" or "Sissy" which it's kind of unfortunate since those are also used as insults sometimes

So yeah, Tomgirls, wish the word was more widespread.

Mate, every word used to refer to a thing has in the past and will in the future be used as an insult to those who are the thing by those who don't like the thing. Changing any word to a "less insulting" one doesn't change this as the new term will inevitably become the insult.
