I agree that it would suck, but I think I might still choose yes but only if I can guarantee I'd be one of the richer people in that society, I would NOT want to end up in a David Martinez situation.

I love the aestetic of it and how freely people have sex, but in tge end it is a world completely run by corporations where your life means nothing..

Currently in a roleplaying game where I play as a Netrunner/Fixer.

Fixer seems like a grand time, find problems, send a few gonks to solve it, get paid for it. Simple enough and I'll barely have to do anything.

night city is hell for a lot of people. you'd either be subject to a perpetual agony of corporate corruption and eating the people that got you to where you were, knowing nobody is genuine and you yourself are no different,

or just being a the guy who cases a gas station to make it by.

although if I were thrown in the waste of it all I'd try to make my way by being a ripperdoc, despite how squeamish I am.

I’d say bouncing at clubs because I already do that but I’d be tempted to try my hand at merc work. Probably get zero’d on a job but whatever. I always wanted to go out in a blaze of glory, and at least I’d get my own drink at the afterlife. But before all that I’m definitely spending an unhealthy amount of time and eddies on jig jig street and probably running up a crazy drink tab at Lizzie’s after trying to flirt with Rita at the door.

It won't be fun being the wage slaves near the bottom of the pyramid especially. I'm not sure being some netrunner would cut it since the risk/return reward doesn't seen worth it to me.
