Well there will just never be a perfect system for doing this. No matter what you do people will find a way to cheat the system. If there was a way to limit the accounts to only 1 account per IP address or something like that. Then would wouldn't have so many people with extra/fake accounts. Like with the up/down votes for pictures. You can only up/down once, even if you are logged in or not. And it also doesn't let you do it if you use a different web browser. If they set up they accounts the same way then there might not be so many problems with trolling votes.

Well, you got your point there, but there would be a problem with that : each router reconnects to the inet after about 24h or in regions with unstable connection much more often = new IP to go! Even pulling out the plug would be the easiest way to gain a new IP and thus, a new account would be enabled... Even by binding the accs to email adds, geez... who cares? You can easily creat there also a fake email adress and voilà, there you have it... a vicious circle, so not much to do about it...

Yeah, there is no way this system isn't being abused for Zorak and Moonlight Flower. Though I'll admit the latter is cute, no way could she have accumulated that many votes in such a small amount of time without abusing the system.
