Nope, not as far as I know anyway
It's simple, buddy! go to your blacklist and write: user:name_of_the_user and done! for rxample, if you wanna block me: user:Miguel16310 hope it helped!
Well good I found this out so I can block certain users... mostly ones I just don't wanna waste the time of anymore. So like, does it just block you from seeing that users comments or can they just not message you period and vice versa?

There does not seem to be a way through the website of blocking messages. I asked an admin about this after I received a hatebait message from a completely random stranger. I was told to ignore and delete further messages from the user. You *might* be able to configure a Firefox browser to filter out such things before you see them, that that technique is beyond my web-fu.

I've heard it does, but I can't confirm that.
If it does and someone responds to the blocked person by quoting them, you will definitely still see the quote though.
As an experiment try blocking me that way and let us know if it does work.

It was rumored to block all forum posts under their user name, but apparently it doesn't so that was just a rumor. At least now we know for sure it doesn't work on forum posts.
I've never tried to block anyone, mainly because if I think someone is an asshat I want to be reminded why I think they're an asshat with some regularity. Others may prefer a different strategy. :)

I usually don't block people despite disliking them, since I want to give everyone the chance to speak their mind. Whether I like it or not... but some people are just on confrontation course with me ALL the time... and it's a bit annoying.

Blocking someone that keeps messaging me via the mail tab under profile. Does the user:(their name) via blacklisting prevent them from messaging via account mail?
