What do you think of the Reliant Robin, because I'd like to own that just for kicks.
I've never driven one or even sat in one, but by all accounts they're small, underpowered, and exhibit truly scary handling due to their propensity to tip over during panic maneuvers. I like the concept of a no-frills, basic, reliable, versatile car that anyone can afford to own, but the Reliant Robin seems to have missed the mark on that.
A better and more recent example of that kind of car which never got the appreciation I felt it deserved was sold in the US as the Geo Metro/Suzuki Swift, the main difference besides badging being that all Swifts came with 4-cylinder engines while most Metros had 3-cylinders. They were cheap to buy, more than reasonably reliable, comfy enough for two with room for four in a pinch (even I fit in one fine), and incredibly simple and easy to repair when anything did break or wear out. These are qualities shared with original VW Type 1 "Beetles" and Ford Model Ts, two of the best-selling and most-loved cars of all time, yet Metros and Swifts get no love at all and are generally considered a joke.

I like your picks, by the way.
Thanks. Almost every male in my family has the "motorcycle gene" except me, but as compensation I seem to have inherited a double dose of the "big car gene" that they have as well.
