So, I've come to realize recently how uncommon scent is used in RP. I personally have never had a thing for scent in RP, but as I thought about it more, it kinda doesn't make sense for it to be unpopular.

Humans are animals, put simply. As such, we rely on our sense of smell just as much as your average animal. Hell, scents are so ingrained in our daily lives, that some people who have lost their sense of smell from the virus have have had trouble even enjoying food fully.

We produce pheromones of sorts and rely on them for biological purposes. Hell, I remember reading a study a while ago about people with contrasting immune systems to your own smelling good.

So that begs the question, if smell is such a basic part of our lives AND of our biology, even in sexual situation, why is it considered weird to bring it up beyond the mention of perfumes? Scent based RP still weirds me out a bit, but I genuinely do not know why at this point. I can't rationalize it. Thoughts?
